"New Wave" and Burroughs

Post by Frank Caranetti » Wed Mar 14, 2007 8:20 am

I've read articles saying that the "New Wave" movement in Science Fiction including J. G. Ballard and Michael Moorcock was pretty much influenced by Burroughs. Does anybody know where I can find documents about it ?
Did they use the cut-up technique ?

Ballard has written a fair amount about WSB. See User's Guide to the End of the Millenium. And here's an interview:

Jed's piece on Ted Berrigan also veers in this direction:

Michael Moorcock even left a comment on the piece.
