Anybody currently reading William Burroughs in Mexico, Stray Bullet, Jorge Garcia Robles ( 2013 ) First English translation from his 1995 book. Thus far I think I like it, but I'm not too far in yet. A bit tedious early-on, a lot of the same old, same old Burroughs bio stuff that everybody knows; mid/late 40s and early Fifties NYC, Joan, Benzedrine, the pad on 115th Street, Carr, Kamerer, the murder, the marriages, the Hippos, Texas, Garver and the farm; WB's dislike of Neal C....and on and on, but I suspect it's going to get much better, having taken a few sneak peaks into a couple later chapters. Anybody reading it like to talk about it. I think Robles also just released his Kerouac Mexico book?

the post on 'Blew the Shot' reminded me i really need to get round to reading this

i'm presuming you finished the book. Did the rest of it live up to your expectations after that early stuff?
