Another interesting thing: one Sierra game, Torin's Passage, has a female villain Lycentia, who (IMO) really fits the description of Countess de Gulpa. The final battle with her seems somewhat similar to the scene between Audrey and Countess in the Cities. I don't think this is intentional, but this could be used for some sort of game project, too :D

By the way, the Octopus City Blues demo is released! I really recommend to check it out, it has fantastic drug visions, giant beetles, octopi and centipedes, and lots of other Burroughsian things.
